Italy is a land of wine, not beer. But what should you do, if, after a couple of glasses of wine, you wake up with a headache? What if you long for a tasty craft beer, or generally prefer beer over wine? Well, the answer is simple: stop at Malto in Aci Castello. You will visit a beautiful Norman castle and taste some cold craft beer. Two birds, one stone.
Malto is a family business run by an always smiling Giuseppe and his dad Alfio. Giuseppe will voluntarily explain the variety of beers he has in English! Furthermore, he’s a classic bar tender with whom you can chat about world issues or your love problems and practice your Italian if you want. Malto is a multifunctional place.
The idea, to open a craft beer bar, was born in Giuseppe’s head while visiting beer shops. In 2017, 5 years later, Malto opened its doors offering around 100 beers. Most of them are craft beer from all over the world. Usually, there are 4 types of local Sicilian beer in draft as well (Alveria, Apollo etc.). Giuseppe carefully selects beer on his own, thereby offering the best experience for his clients.
